Snow came early for us this year in south eastern Pennsylvania. We might get a few flurries here and there but if we get snow it usually isn’t until late January or February.  A few weeks ago I woke up to a snow storm.  Till is was all over we had 5 inches!  I put on my boots, grabbed my camera and snapped a few pictures.  Does this mean we’re in for a rough winter?

These two may not be beautiful to everyone, but they certainly are beautiful to me!  Lacey (on the left) is an amazing rescue cat.  I adopted her five years ago, and she’s brought so much joy and happiness into my life!  Well…and a few huge vet bills since she’s a special needs cat.  Ellie (on the right) is the newest addition to the family, adopted this past March.  She’s energetic as can and gets into everything, even though she only has three legs.

If you’re looking for a pet – consider adopting.  I’ve never once regretted the choice to open my home and my heart to these animals who just need a home.

Breast Cancer 3 Day, Philadelphia, PA

There is nothing as beautiful as imagining a world without breast cancer!  Last month over 3600 people gathered together to walk 60 miles over the course of 3 days.  Why?  To raise awareness about breast cancer.  To fund research and local health initiatives.  To find a cure.  To unite together so mothers, daughters, aunts, friends, brothers, dads can live without breast cancer in their lives!  The Philadelphia 3 Day raised over 8.1 million dollars!  Let’s hope that one day – one day soon – our dreams will become reality!

JFK Presidential Library and Museum, Boston

All I can say is that the reflection room at the JFK Presidential Library and Musuem in Boston is breathtaking.  Not only does it have a great view of the harbor, but it’s truly a magnificent space that inspires reflection as it is meant to.

I love animals….of all kinds (although some I wouldn’t want to run into when I’m out hiking in the woods)…especially animals that so many others find ugly!  Pictures of animals fascinate me and while I often look back at photographs and think – why did I take this? – I never think that about the images I shoot of animals.  So here’s a close up – I loved his curiosity and his beautiful, and expressive big brown eyes!
